Humpday Gaming: A Kitchen Sink War

Submitted by Billy on Wednesday, 1 July 2009No Comment

sinkwar1-420x235You know the old saying, “Everything but the kitchen sink”? Now I know why they leave out the kitchen sink, because it sucks on balls. There is absolutely nothing good I can say about this game, except that you can always delete it when you are finished and hope that one day the memory will fade. Just stay away from this thing at all costs. In fact, just stop reading right now…you don’t need to hear anything else about this game.

Now, for those of you that are still reading, obviously you hate yourself. Are you the kinda guy who likes having things dropped on your balls? When you play Mario, do you fantasize about storming Bowser’s stronghold, only to have him capture you and torture you by raising a Thwomp 100 feet in the air and then dropping it on your balls? Actually, just drop it on the right one, then the left one…I want all that Thwomp concentrated on one ball at a time. Wait, find those Thwomp Bros from Partners in Time and have them both work my balls over at once. Is that you? You might dig this game. Maybe they can market this as a non-physical way for the self-mutilating crowd to get their kicks.

What's happening? Who knows.

So, on to the game. You control an item (cup, silverware , other uninspired things) and you start off on the opposite side of a very limited space from your opponent. You shoot at each other and may or may not really do anything to one another for 5 seconds until one of you touches the drain and then it is over. Rinse (HAHAHAHA!) and repeat that until your mind fades away and the very fabric of space and time seem to vanish. I’ve some a few clips where things seem to be moving at half-decent speed, but my gameplay experience saw the objects move around at the speed of frozen molassess.

This game offers nothing in the graphics department, the gamplay department, or anything else in general. This is a complete waste of time and effort by the creator, and a waste of Community space on the part of Microsoft. Though this is the usual part of these reviews where I have to remind myself that a game like this falls right into the theme the Community seems to be going for. This game was better for the Atari back when it was done with a couple of tanks.

You’re better off with the Thwomp.
